bticino Light Now: minimalism, sustainability and intelligence in one switch

Light Now is the switch and socket range by bticino (a Legrand brand) where pure minimalism meets sustainability and smart-home technology. The result is a switch that reads like a piece of furniture, is made from recycled materials and — if you wish — runs the whole home. In 2024 the range won the prestigious iF Design Award.

Design where every detail is the protagonist

Light Now relies on clean geometry: perfectly aligned cover plates and axial controls, slightly rounded edges and pleasantly grainy surfaces. A discreet central LED (white or blue) at the end of the key makes control more ergonomic. Like Living Now, the floating frame hugs the wall and hides small imperfections; an optional lighting frame adds elegant under-plate illumination.

Nine finishes, three collections — a second life for materials

Circular — conscious transformation of natural materials such as viscose and mica, for less virgin material and more recycling. Matte pure white plus two eco finishes.

Patina — a deliberately "imperfect" look that celebrates natural beauty, achieved with lightly pigmented water-based paint. Durable and distinctive, ideal for warm, darker rooms.

Stone — inspired by sand and building materials, on a recycled polymer with a striking new texture. Three shades from sand-light to concrete-dark.

Sustainability by design: white fiber blends viscose with recycled ABS; white mica gets its effect from olive stones; Stone is recycled ABS with biomass water-based paint.

Controls for every habit

Axial (maximum elegance), rocker (classic feel), touchless (turn on/off just by bringing your hand close — better hygiene) and MyHOME multifunction controls that replace long rows of switches.

Add control points with wireless buttons — battery or no-battery — placed anywhere, no wiring. An IP55 no-battery control is available for outdoor use.

A step into the smart home

Manage everything via the Home + Control app and Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple Home. Three paths: Netatmo (radio, perfect for retrofit), MyHOME (SCS BUS) and KNX. Scenarios, consumption monitoring and custom notifications in one interface.
