Specifications

What do these specifications mean?
Lumens (lm)
How much light leaves the fixture — like litres of water from a tap. It does not tell you how bright the room will be.
Lux (lx)
How much light lands on a surface: 1 lx = 1 lm spread over 1 m². A desk needs about 500 lx, a cosy living room 100–150 lx.
Colour temperature (K)
2700–3000 K is warm and cosy, 4000 K is neutral (best for work), 5000+ K is cold. Never mix different K in one room.
CRI (Ra)
How faithfully colours appear, 0–100. 80 is the minimum; 90+ makes skin, wood and fabrics look the way they really are.
UGR
Glare rating — how much the fixture dazzles you. For offices with screens look for UGR ≤ 19.
IP rating
Protection against dust and water: IP20 for dry rooms, IP44 for bathrooms, IP65 for outdoors.
